The Austin City Limits (ACL) Musical Festival occurs for two 3-day weekends in Zilker Park every year. A lot of people from all around travel to the destination to see their favorite bands and singers perform. Unfortunately, this year offers a different story. According to Aclfestival.com, the 2020 festival has been canceled due to the uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. After all, the novel coronavirus has already infected millions of Americans. Plus, at the time this piece was written, it had claimed over 130,000 lives in the United States.
However, that is a topic for another discussion. The remainder of this article will focus on some posters that are perfect for ACL Music Festival fans. Perhaps they attended the event in the past and now wish to commemorate having done so. Or perhaps they are thinking about attending a performance in the future and simply want to support the festival as a whole. Whatever the case may be, these posters are worth a look. Hence, interested parties should stay right here to learn about some available options.
2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival – 2nd Weekend
As the subheading implies, Carlos Hernandez created this poster for the second weekend of the ACL Music Festival in 2013. It has bright and vivid coloring that can enhance any room. A snake with what appears to be a lightning bolt tongue takes center stage on this poster. However, there are also images of a flaming Texas and a bat that command attention.
There were only 500 of these limited edition posters printed. This one is hand-numbered by the artist. Individuals and groups that performed at the venue in 2013 such as Lionel Ritchie, Vampire Weekend, Asleep at the Wheel, and The Black Angels are only some of the names displayed at the bottom of the piece.
2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival – Weekend 1
Carlos Hernandez was also the artist behind this poster. It has the same snake, burning Texas, and bat images, only they are facing differently or located in different places from those on the 2nd weekend poster. If the two pieces are placed side by side, they are mirror images of one another. The coloring is where the primary differences lie, as this one features blue instead of green. This poster measures 18×24 inches and can make a great addition to any wall.
